What is Tonport?
A marketplace where verified buyers, sellers, traders and logistics companies meet to trade physical commodities such as metals, grain, energy and chemicals.
Do you hold my money?
No. Payment and shipping are arranged directly between the parties. Tonport does not hold funds, issue letters of credit or run escrow.
How does anonymity work?
A listing can hide your company name. Other members see you as a verified member until you reveal your identity in a conversation or an offer is accepted.
How are companies verified?
Companies submit registration documents and an administrator reviews them. A verified badge means the documents were reviewed. It is not a guarantee of any deal.
Which languages are available?
English, Türkçe, Español, Français, 中文, Bahasa Indonesia and العربية. Product names and trade terms such as Incoterms stay standard so everyone reads the same thing.
How do I avoid fraud?
Check the verified badge, never pay outside the agreed terms, be careful with advance payment requests, use the document check and the verify tool, and report anything suspicious.
What are points for?
Points reward verified, completed activity and can be redeemed for partner perks when partners are available. They have no cash value.
Is the landed cost exact?
It is an estimate from your own inputs. Duties, CBAM and sanctions rules vary; confirm with a customs broker.
